ESCHES

Berlin-based ESCHES is the vintage soul project by jazz vocalist and songwriter Robert Summerfield. While the sonic palette is rough and lo-fi, the lyricism of ESCHES touches upon intricate topics like hope, loss, and creative expression in unbalanced times. Having grown up between Germany and the USA, listening to artists like Joni Mitchell and Bill Withers, but also contemporary voices like D’Angelo and Raphael Saadiq, ESCHES combines different styles of RnB and Folk/Soul. ESCHES is rolling towards the drop of his debut album in 2023. It was recorded in Cologne at Gottesweg Studios, with Papercup finest "The Sun Set" as the backing band, and produced by Niklas Schneider.
