Andrew Collberg

Andrew Collberg

Papercup Recordsby Sandra Stein
Born and raised between the US and Europe, Andrew draws from both of these influences, writing melodic songs with introspective yet matter-of-fact texts or instrumental soundscapes that sound oddly familiar yet uniquely their own. Collberg has been a songwriter and musician composing, recording, and performing solo and with other groups for the last 20 years and has put out six solo albums to date. Leaving the desert town of Tucson, Arizona a few years ago, he now resides in Cologne, Germany. Besides making his own music, Andrew has toured and worked with artists such as Howe Gelb (Giant Sand), Molly Burch, Modern Nature, Nive Nielsen, Golden Boots, and many others. He is also a member of Copenhagen-based indie pop group History of Sugar and has produced music for audio productions and film.
