Boddy & Raquet provides a thrilling mix of electronic pop and 90s nostalgia. Their music lives in a place where determined stylistic choices are ready to leave room for naive playfulness. For their EP, The Good Fences, the two musicians invite us for a bittersweet dance on a volcano with themes shifting between coming-of age-insecurity, grown-up melancholy, and general reflections on society. Boddy's androgynous falsetto voice is the soulful fit for these questions and makes it all go straight to the heart. George Raquet has been around as one-half of the electronic duo Coma (City Slang), also producing music for theater and radio plays. Jakob Lebsanft, aka Boddy, has played a series of concerts and created DJ mixes and productions in rave, pop, and jazz. Together, the two artists channel their varied influences into an emotional and pure record.
